Malcolm Vick was from South Australia, and he refused to obey a call-up notice. It is likely he previously had a history of non-compliance with the National Service Act 1964 (NSA). He was summonsed to the Adelaide Magistrates Court during July 1971. He did not appear in court and as a result Magistrate WC Beerworth issued a warrant for his arrest. It was reported that Malcolm said, “I have been waiting 2 years for this to happen. It is unknown if he was arrested and jailed.
