William Plenderleith was born in Scotland on 23 July 1908. He was a Jehovah’s Witness. In 1942, when he applied for exemption as a conscientious objector, he was living in West Swan, WA, and gave his occupation as truck driver. In 1943, he changed this to Minister of Religion. William’s first appeal was dismissed by Justice Dwyer in 1942. He appealed again the 1943, and this appeal was struck out n 22 May 1944. It probably didn’t come to court.
