Paul Waite was a 20-year-old Technician from Box Hill South in Victoria. He was a member of the Christadelphian Church. He applied for and was granted full exemption from military service by Magistrate Murray on 3 December 1965. His application was based on the teachings of the Bible. He brought to court a witness who testified that the tenants of his faith do not allow the use of force under any circumstances. Paul was one of the first six conscientious objection court hearings. He shared with John Lacona and Douglas Smalley.
