Brian Aarons was from Neutral Bay, NSW. A Special Federal Court rejected his application for full exemption from military duties. Magistrate Rogers believed him sincere in his beliefs but was unable to grant him exemption from military duties as it was based on opposition to the Vietnam War. This was not permitted under the National Service Act 1964.
